Great idea. Gosh, I hate so many things.

How about this for an opener?

'to float'. The context is a branch meeting in a bank. One of the older guys is totally out of his depth but hasn't said anything for the first 45 minutes of the meeting - he feels under pressure to say someting. Hijacking the thoughts of Greg (who's said a lot already) he says, "can I just float an idea here - we could do with exploring Gregs earlier idea regarding chits"

Jesus, where do you start?

'What I will say' - context is a TV intereview with a politician. He/She is asked a difficult question by the interviewee and the politicians answers, "I don't want to get into that until we know the results of the inquiry. But what I will say is this ... [insert party political broadcast here]"

'Let's 360 that one.' - where the brain dead moron who's been tasked with chairing the meeting finds himself with no idea what to say in response to a pitch and runs screaming into the arms of 'multimedia offshoot opportunities' - which is, in itself, another weapon of mass destruction bollocks phrase.

The intention of deploying the 360 clusterbomb is to showcase what a creative, blue sky out of the box, lateral collateral thinker you really are while actually moving the conversation forward not one whit.

It's a modern classic stalling tactic.
