HA! Very funny. I kinda forget my english if I drink too much, so it sure would be nice to have something else to fall back on!

My affliction is milder. I believe I can do a Glaswegian accent after a few drinks.

My tongue seems to go numb when I drink, so I immediately begin speaking in "dumb ass."

but you know what... for sure excess booze will make you believe many things: i know for a fact that both ploop and i have believed ourselves stuntmen on several occasions while under the influence.... however the wonderful thing about drinking a lot (well, one of the many wonderful things) is that i bet old ploopster actually had some rather fine conversations with people whom, under normal circumstances, he'd have miserably failed to conduct even the most basic of conversations.

my great sadness over foreign languages is how simply dull i must be when i try it...

Me: do you like white wine?
Them: (something i don't understand but sounds vaguely positive)
Me: i like wine too
Them: (something else)
Me: do you like cats?
Them...

etc...

it makes for a riveting night out

and yet that same conversation conducted while in the company of a bottle of martini suddenly springs to life like a desert in the rain.

booze. sure, us brits are a bit medieval about our consumption of it, but it's great right?

I seem to develop a whole new language when I get drunk, known as 'slurred gibberish'.

Still, it makes more sense than business-speak.

booze is great ... fine posting Jake and Andy, I agree, I'd rather slurred gibberish than business bullshit.

Glaswegian and dumb-ass ... are they the same thing?

I think dumb ass includes showing your tae-bo kickboxing skills, while slurring speech. Very hard language to learn.
