We hate astrologers. Every single one of the money grabbing charlatans oozes round the globe stealing hard earned money from the vulnerable. Frankly they’re scum. So ploop’s joining them – after all, there’s money to be made.
So, Ploopology continues – the weekly slot of quick, at-a-glance star signs that can be taken on board by the time-starved executive on the run. They can be sent via SMS to board directors worldwide – allowing them to make ill-informed decisions based on their vacuous birth signs.
Power sentence astrology for the time hungry executive (week three – end of May):
Capricorn: “Play that funky music”
Aquarius: “Show the you’ve got balls, wet boy”
Gemini: “Keep rubbing until you can see your face”
Leo: “Venus fires power arrows into the HR department”
Scorpio: “Turn off the power supply”
Virgo: “Maybe someone in power hates accordions?”
Cancer: “Get a mechanic on it″
Taurus: “Grow up – no one thinks you wearing nappies in the office is funny”
Libra: “With views like yours you could be a judge on Americal Idol”
Aries: “Panic on the streets of London, Panic on the streets of Birmingham, I wonder to myself …”
Sagittarius: “Have you got caps lock on?”
Pisces: “Keep off the vodka”
I hope these help …

When I write ploop TV – my jaw aches as I’m in such a blue funk. I loathe the way TV prostitutes the desperate to get viewers. It’s cyncal wankery – make out that you really care by doing a ’sensitive docmentary’ while the subject matter is basically a circus freak we all gawp at.
A while back I posted this – the basic made-up premise is that an evil TV company turns organ donation into a TV competition. Imagine my jaded surprise when I turned on the radio to be greeted with this. What absolute captalist morons Endemol are – I almost wonder if they’ve been reading the plooptionary for ideas. Be very suspicious if any of these ideas turn up on TV!

Author and all round aussie Rebecca James is the latest in a round of fine contributors to take good old fashioned pen to paper and join in on the winning an argument meme. Well, she’s actually decided to do a graph anyway. It regards ‘googling’ ones own name and it’s rather funny. Check it out by clicking here

Now i’ve tried to enjoy spending time in Second Life… believe me i’ve tried.
i’ve spent a laborious, painful hour or two trying to summon up the enthusiasm to create an avator… only to be reduced to admitting defeat and wandering around looking like one of the generic types… i flew around a bit which wasn’t half as much fun as reading about the idea of flying around a bit. In fact, it was just a bit dull and a bit pointless – and like a badly executed video game. I looked at the most popular places to visit – these were, predictably, casinos, nightclubs and adult entertainment venues… i flew to some, i transported to others. They too were dull, soulless and pointless. There are actually people, lots of people “dancing”… are they really enjoying themself i thought? This “dancing” they’re doing equates to little more than tapping a couple of keys on their keyboard… and then seeing their avator frugging away on screen. How can that be fun?
I joined a discussion – a group of other avators sitting around discussing property prices in second life. That wasn’t fun either.
I’d love to be convinced. Really i would. But i can’t shrug off the feeling that the reality of this virtual reality is shuddering nonsense – and the only really winners are PR agencies and marketeers who’ve found a new tune to play and stick to beat us with.
But please… convince me i’m wrong.
Who, of the Ploop community has ever had a good experience in Second Life? The gauntlet is thrown. Please do pick it up.
