It’s been a public holiday weekend here in the UK - hence the lack of posts.  But hey, we’re back and kicking off with a graph that defines my long weekend and suitability as a parent.

  1. I’m right there with you, Ploop. For some odd reason, tv actually makes a good babysitter every once in a while. I was parented by television and look how wonderful (frightening) I turned out!

ps: Jake appears to have taken a shine to your bumper sticker … get it printed I say!

  3. PS Did you buy a ruler over the Bank Holiday, Ploop? Your trend line is looking very straight

  4. Yeah I do that too. But I find you can keep the moral high-ground if you give in in the following way:
“Oh if you really have so few inner resources that you have NOTHING BETTER TO DO then watch the frigging telly. When I was young we were outside all the time climbing trees on a lovely day like this”*

    *This is a lie.

  5. as a fellow parent i share your despair at your parenting skills Ploop.

I find the bank holiday weekend a cool 24 hours too long when it’s encumbered by small children.

I for one lost my patience some time on Sunday and failed utterly to get it back. It’s only now i’m back at work i can begin to actually think fondly of family life!

have you seen this by the way?

it’s a little pretentious but still quite fun.
