It’s dressing up time

posted by ploop - a member of humour blogs

I’m a simple dresser. Reasonably smart, clean shaven etc … I rather hope that my clothes say little about me, yet don’t put people off. It’s for this reason I want to chew up, spit out and grout my wet room with people who wear those idiotic t-shirts with clever quotes or comments on them. They are the under 40s equivalent of novelty ties and, frankly, I’d only use such ties as nooses for the ‘crazy gents’ who wear them.

I don’t know what I’ll fancy for dinner tomorrow which is why I regularly row with my partner over a ‘weekly shop’, so how these people know which crazy quote they’ll need on some cheap t-shirt in a couple of weeks time is beyond me. Anyway, a theory … and it’s been difficult not to swear here:

novelty ties, t shirts, idiots, creativity, plooptionary, assholes

Having said this - I did feel strangely aroused by someone strolling the street with a t shirt saying ‘I’d fcuk me’ …

  1. How about a t-shirt that says,

‘Put down the credit card, and step away from the cheap crap from China.’

  2. My favourite slogan t shirt recently was:

” I have never been lost but I will admit to having had long periods of confusion from time to time”

I love a good T shirt slogan and PLOP knows it.

  4. I’m quite prepared to think about tweaking this graph for a number of reasons. I’d give nurse attention for her spank me t shirt an Howard - you’re sounds fun. Secondly - I will be rather a turn coat when I come to encourage people to start buying plooptionary tshirts with my graphs on the front!

  6. I like to think my Mattress Police t-shirts are clever without the quotes. That said, I don’t mind if stupid people wear them.

  7. Can I still wear my shirt that says:

    “I’m probably lying”

Coz I get a LOT of attention for it.

  8. Then you could start with an all-purpose slogan though, like:

    “Yeah, well fcuk you too!”

not clever, but extremely useful in a wide range of circumstances

The latest in t-shirt design, however, involves adding a special SMS number to your shirt so anyone who fancies you can get in touch
