Woah! Careful there Daddy-o

Chateau Musar 2002 is still a child in nappies. You want to be drinking the 2001, or even better the 1999.

That's like getting into the Stones by only listening to their latest release and not having any idea about their back-catalogue

Maybe a wine appreciation graph is called for - how about intensity and complexity of the olfactory and degustatory experience vs. the increasing age of the Chateau Musar bottling? It might produce an elegant rising curve, a level plateau, then a gentle decline into old age.

Damn! You've made me want to crack open my own bottle of the 99 and it is FAR too late to do it justice.

wine and rock?

Sure, I guess if you are in your 30's, you are female, you and your lady friends got a box of wine and you are tailgating outside a Dave Matthews concert.

On a side note do they sell boxes of wine in Europe?

hehe

Robert - you are quite right, it was far too young. But I think that's part of the charm, and part of why it's Sympathy for the Devil - there's something very cheeky and decadent about approaching it now!

Chris - very funny

I'm keen to try the bin (laden) (1) 2006 Lebanese war Chateau Musar with added plutonium depleted shell sh*t and lead ingress from the departing Syrian troop lorries.

I can tell you this. 1988 Chateau Musar versus 1999 is no contest.

One is goddamn hezbollah! I shall leave you to guess which.
