I must say, after finding GodTube, I never thought I’d find a finer place to hang out and laugh. If I could take a pill so that every time I wanted to I could play the ‘Bananas prove God’s existence’ clip whenever I felt down, I would!

Then, in a moment of idleness, I happened upon the ‘Have Your Say’ section of the BBC website. The comments are sublime. Not even the finest scriptwriter left in a room with some of the wittiest social commentators could create a dialogue so warped and hilarious. It is, quite simple, fantastic to read. I spent just 10 minutes there and got a nervous twitch of excitement.

In answer to the question: Should councils get more cash for migrants? We had …

Doug from Scotland: “Reduce benefits dramatically to the UKs work shy masses, force them to take the jobs these migrants are swallowing up, and shut the gates!” Thanks, Doug

This from anon: “They’re only here because as soon as they get citizenship, they vote Labour. Now the true costs of this vote-buying scam are starting to emerge. Labour – you’re rumbled! Get out of office!”

Penworthy in Scotland: “And for those of you inclined to purchase our tasty Cornish Speciality – they’ve been renamed “Polish Pasties” out of recognition of the folks who make them these days. Proper job it aint.”

And I love this one from Edward in Wolverhampton: “Let Broon, Bliar and those others responsible for swamping my country with excessive numbers of immigrants pick up the tab personally – deducted from salary AND any future pension payments. I suspect we would see a marked shift in their attitude & perspective”

Really – get yourself over there. It’s like spending an afternoon in a turn of the century pub high on opium
